The eggs collected from the donor are fertilized with the sperm of the recipients’ husband in the laboratory. This can be done either by IVF or ICSI and after the procedure it is kept in incubator for two days. After two days, a four-celled embryo and after three days, an eight-celled embryo is formed. After 5 days a multi-celled blast cyst is formed and this formed embryo is transferred to the womb of the recipient.  There is also the Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) technique which is used if the sperm is of poor quality.
