IUI, or intrauterine insemination, is one of the relatively simple & first line fertility treatments used nowadays. It may be done with or without fertility drugs. It involves transferring semen that has been washed in a special way directly into the uterus via a soft flexible catheter.
With the increasing global burden of infertility & the advent of medical science, the field of reproductive medicine and endocrinology has rapidly grown, with success stories that have resolved infertility and fertility problems – from the most simple fertility awareness methods to more advanced innovations.
One of the most effective forms of assisted reproductive technology (ART) is IVF which stands for in vitro fertilization meaning fertilization outside the body (in the lab).
It is a complex series of procedures used to help with fertility or prevent genetic problems and assist with the conception of a child. During IVF, mature eggs are collected (retrieved) from ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. The resultant fertilized embryo(s) are transferred to the uterus of the female partner.

The term ‘blastocyst’ refers to the human embryo 5 – 6 days after fertilisation.
The structure of the blastocyst is more complex than earlier embryo stages because along with an increase in cell number, the cells also become organised into 2 types, the trophectoderm, whose main role is in the implantation into the uterine lining and the inner cell mass which will give rise to the foetus itself.
Transferring embryos at the blastocyst stage provides a better co-ordination between the embryo and the uterus & hence higher chances of achieving a pregnancy. However the chances of having no embryos for transfer at all are also higher, so it is best decided by the embryologist & your IVF specialist to identify which (if any) of a group of embryos have the best potential to grow to the blastocyst stage in extended culture.
THIRD PARTY REPRODUCTION “Third-party reproduction” refers to the use of eggs, sperms, or embryos that have been donated by a third person (donor) to enable an infertile individual or couple (intended recipient) to become parents. It also includes traditional surrogacy and gestational carrier arrangements. Types of 3rd party reproduction:
➥ Oocyte Donation
➥ Sperm Donation
➥ Embryo Donation
➥ Surrogacy
The first pregnancy resulting from egg donation was reported in 1984. Egg donation requires in vitro fertilization (IVF), as the eggs are removed from one woman, fertilized in the laboratory using the male partner’s sperm and the resulting embryo is then transferred to the recipient’s uterus.
The most common conditions where it is being used are, in women whose ovaries have either been surgically removed or are functioning poorly which may include women with premature menopause, severe diminished ovarian reserve, medical disorders, or exposure to toxins like chemotherapy or radiation therapy. It is also appropriate for women who were born without ovaries
➥Embryo donation is a procedure that enables embryos that were created by individuals undergoing fertility treatment to be transferred to other infertile patients to help them achieve a pregnancy.
➥ It may be sought as an option in cases of untreatable infertility that involves both partners, untreatable infertility in a single woman or woman without a male partner, recurrent pregnancy loss thought to be related to embryonic factors, and genetic disorders affecting one or both partners.
The process of embryo donation requires that the recipient(s) undergo(es) the appropriate medical and psychological screening recommended for all gamete-donor cycles. In addition, the female partner undergoes an evaluation of her uterine cavity and then her endometrium is prepared well to enable embryo transfer. Such embryos do not belong to anybody and are totally anonymous
Surrogacy is an arrangement by which a woman, called a surrogate, carries and delivers the offspring of the commissioning parents and it has been recognized in India under the ART treatment.
Surrogacy is permitted for Indian nationals when it is:
➥For intending couples who suffer from proven infertility;
➥Altruistic;
➥Not for commercial purposes;
➥Not for producing children for sale, prostitution, or other forms of exploitation;
➥For any condition or disease specified through regulations.
Despite surrogacy now being affordable for many couples, they often face challenges looking for surrogate mothers of their choice. At Miraculum, we put in our best to provide couples with the best surrogacy and IVF treatments. We bring together expertise, technology, and empathetic practices to help couples experience the joy of parenthood.

Fenomatch is a highly specialised tool which allows that allows fertility clinics to filter potential donors by biometric resemblance to the patient. The fenomatch facial matching is an algorithm that comprises over 12,000 biometric measurements to find the donor that most closely resembles you from the list of the donors who meet the fundamental criteria. Patient information that is shared with Fenomatch is encrypted and destroyed after the process is complete & we do not use the data for any other purpose than biometric comparison.
